Feel the Pulse of India

Over the 14 years, since its inception, the understanding of development has evolved and deepened in AID, thanks mainly to the relationships of trust, respect and confidence forged with grassroots groups and dedicated individuals, who are relentlessly working to bring about a change in the lives of the vast majority of Indians. Our saathis and long-term partner NGOs represent our senses - through them we constantly feel the pulse of India - the India that lives in the 650,000 villages and 52,000 urban slums.

Here we provide a glimpse of how such long-term partnerships have brought about remarkable changes in the lives of the people - Swanirvar from West Bengal and Michael & Swati from Gujrat are excellent examples.
