Recently approved projects

Bhuvasal Datye, Maharastra ($2000, Minnesota): Mobilizing the formation of groups to initiate livelihood generation and eco-development projects through water and energy management.

SVYM, Karnataka ($3000, Boston): Funding towards supporting educational costs of 30 students for one year at the Viveka Tribal Centre for Learning. The center, which imparts education to tribal children, has a culturally acceptable teaching methodology, with a focus on child-centered learning.

Aranyika, Andhra Pradesh ($5000, College Park): Empowering civic bodies by gender and class sensitization, training in leadership qualities and micro-planning.

ALOKA, Orissa ($2500, College Station): Empowering communities by promoting people’s and women’s organization, undertaking health improvement programs.

Environment Support Group, Jharkand ($2000, Boston): Organizing ‘The National Forum for Forest Peoples and Forest Workers’ conference to be held in Jharkand and learn about key issues concerning forests.
