AID runners complete Philadelphia marathon

Philadelphia, Princeton runners and volunteers before the start of the Philly Marathon

AID volunteers from the Philadelphia and Princeton chapters ran the Philly full marathon and half marathon - most of us for the first time. We had a great time training on our own using online resources, tips from fellow runners, books and friends. We created a good impact in terms of awareness about issues facing India among our donors - majority of them being new. We raised $5,000, which we plan to use to support Eureka libraries and other projects in 2007.Encouraged by th is experience, we plan to make this an annual event and keep the spirit of running ongoing. Our motto when we began training was "Run2bhappy" and we are really happy the way everything turned out.
