Montreal Joins the AID Family
“There will be no tickets … we shall stamp those who buy admission” –decided AID Montreal volunteers, while planning a screening of the movie, Water. In keeping with AID ideals, they decided not to issue tickets in order to minimize their ecological footprint. The movie was the first public awareness event of the newly formed AID chapter. Barely two months since its beginning, AID Montreal now has a team of 15 enthusiastic volunteers comprising students from McGill and Concordia universities, as well as members from the local Indian community. In an effort to reach out to the community, AID Montreal volunteers Aditya and Papia gave interviews on the local CHTV on Feb 10 (Bangla TV) and Feb 17 (Indo-Montreal Magazine).
