The Shobana Concert series brings together organizations and volunteers.
The US chapters of AID, ASHA and Vibha have joined hands in the true spirit of organizational networking, to bring to us Padmashri Shobana and her dance ensemble, in a presentation of Maya Ravan. Maya Ravan has been showcased in several cities in the US. This Bharatanatyam dance theatre masterfully combines the strengths of classical Bharatanatyam with contemporary styles of dance and music. And in this sense of fusion, the event serves not only as a unique cultural experience and fundraiser, but also stands symbolic of our joint ventures towards a common goal. AID, ASHA and Vibha have achieved long-lasting connections with each other and with the communities that they have exposed to this wonderful form of art.

As a testament to the idea of fusion of thoughts and efforts, one volunteer from AID-Dallas, where Maya Ravan was recently featured, says, “…[T]he event in Dallas was a big success and it was also interesting to see that there were many volunteers from Asha and Vibha who came to help, as we were short of volunteers (some were out of the country).” Kudos to all the volunteers!
