AID Saathi C Srinivasan's pioneering work in waste management in Vellore is an inspiring story. Karthik Rangnathan relates his impressions. Srinivasan’s most notable venture is an elaborate recycling system whereby waste is collected from households and painstakingly sorted into over 100 different categories. Most of the products are recycled, composted, re-used or even re-sold. Srinivasan’s motto is, “There is no such thing as trash, only misplaced resources.”
